BECOME AN ACCREDITED NATIONWIDE LENDING BROKER
The demand for qualified and ethical mortgage and financial professionals is growing, as more and more consumers turn to brokers as their preferred source for housing and/or business finance. WHAT BROKERS DO Brokers work with clients to determine their borrowing needs and ability, select a loan suited to their circumstances and manage the process through to settlement. Brokers need strong financial literacy skills, excellent people and customer service skills and the ability to really listen to clients' needs. LICENCE REQUIREMENTS ASIC regulations require all mortgage brokers to have their own individual Australian Credit Licence (ACL), or to be a Credit Representative (CR) of an ACL holder. All new mortgage brokers wishing to participate in the Nationwide Lending career opportunity, will be offered the ability of being an authorised CR under Nationwide Lending's ACL. OBTAINING NATIONWIDE LENDING ACCREDITATION There are 3 Phases to complete in order to obtain accreditation with Nationwide Lending.
REQUIREMENTS A professional mortgage broker needs to be well groomed and presented. A great deal of business is obtained at clients' homes or offices, therefore a reliable clean car is also necessary. Business tools required include a notebook computer; facsimile machine; copier & scanning device; laser printer; mobile phone; and minimal office stationary. Full industry training and compliance will cost approximately $4,000 as outlined in Phases 1-3. REMUNERATION Accredited Nationwide Lending brokers are amongst the highest remunerated brokers in the industry. Nationwide Lending brokers receive an upfront commission and a trailing commission on the loans they settle. It is not standard industry practice for a broker to charge a client for their service due to this arrangement. An average broker settling $1M per month will earn approximately $84,000 in their 1st year, which excludes trailing commission. It is not uncommon for brokers to earn well over $100,000 per annum. |
